Caramel Popcorn
6 - 7 qt. Popped corn
1 cup margarine
2 cup light brown sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
½ tsp baking soda
Put the popcorn in a large lightly greased roaster. Bring to a boil the margarine, brown sugar, salt, over medium heat, stirring, then boil without stirring for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add vanilla and soda. Stir until it foams. Add popcorn. Coat well. Put in 250 F oven and bake approximately 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Allow to cool slightly and then break up. Put in container.

1 cup margarine
2 cup brown sugar
½ cup corn syrup
1 tsp salt
½ tsp soda
½ tsp maple flavouring
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup uncooked popcorn, or 20 cup of cooked popcorn
1 bag peanuts
Combine margarine, brown sugar, corn syrup and salt in a pot and bring to a boil. Boil for5 minutes without stirring. Remove from heat, add soda and flavouring, stirring it until it is very creamy. Pour over cooked popcorn, mix well. Set oven at 250 F. Bake for 1 hour. Remove from oven, spread over greased pan to cool.
