Caramel Rolls (Rainbow)
1 1/2 cup brown sugar
3 Tbsp cream
3 Tbsp water
3/4 cup butter
3 Tbs Kayro light syrup
Place ingredients in microwave until sugar is dissolved. Pour into glass pans.
Allow to cool.
Make dough as above.
Divide dough like above.
Roll dough into a rectangle shape.
Butter top and sprinkle with a mixture of cinnamon and sugar (to taste).
Roll up to form a long log shape.
Using a sharp knife cut into rolls to fit pans. (These will double in size)
Place in pan with caramel mixture.
Cover and let rise overnight.
Bake at 350 Degrees for 20-25 minute or till done. I use a glass pan so I can
tell how brown the bottoms are getting. Remove from oven and immediately turn
over onto awire rack with something underneath to catch any excess caramel. You
can use a spatula and scoop up the caramel falls off and reapply it onto the
tops of the rolls. Sometimes I freeze these too. Just put into the freezer until
the caramel isn't sticky (after rolls have totally cooled) then wrap in foil or
put into freezer bags.
