Rolled Oat Marzipan

8 oz rolled oats*
8 oz superfine [caster] sugar
4 oz butter or margarine
1/3 c hot water [16 ts]
2 tsp vanilla
2 tsp almond essence


* Mix the oats in a food processor until flour consistency.

Beat the remaining ingredients together until the sugar just dissolves.

Work the oats in with a wooden spoon until cool enough to knead by hand
