Royal Icing
Royal Icing
- 3 level tbsp meringue powder
- 4 cups sifted icing sugar
- 5-6 tbsp lukewarm water
Mix all ingredients in a grease-free bowl for 7 – 10 minutes. Make sure that the icing is no longer shiny. Keep bowl covered with damp cloth when using it to keep it from drying out. Can be stored in air-tight container for 2 weeks in it’s liquid state. Simply re-beat prior to using. It is important to have all your utensils, bags, tips, couplers etc. grease-free. Any particles of grease will make your icing deteriorate.
